suse 9,1 / sax2 problem

fresh install of suse 9,1 and my ONLy problem thus far is my card-monitor settings.
i tried to tweak them but when i use the sax2 utility, there seems to be NOTHING to change, no option in the window to do so. it seems to want to configure my card automatically.

i tried typing sax2 in a console and i did get an error,

SaX: ups lost card during probing... abort

my sax2 seem to be broke!

any ideas?

thanks!

Since its the first thing the suse instructions tell you to do before using sax... yes.
