I just heard about this distro, just curious if anyone out there has had any experience with it, how's it to install, what's the functionaloty like, etc... If anyone could fill me in or just give me a personal opinion I'd appreciate it, Thanks!
Well, I used it, but it was..are you ready...MORE BLOATED THAN MANDRAKE. I did a lsmod from a fresh install, and it prolly had 45 modules loaded, and none of it I wanted. I'm sure it's alright if you recompile though. And, they have solitaire in the install program, for entertainment while it installs.
I'm impressed with what they're trying to do, but it needs significant performance improvements. It made my P3-700 with 256Mb feel like a P2-350 with 64Mb. Not good!
Well you guys are doing better than me, I attempted to install it multiple times and eventually gave up.... I am yet to try the final release though although I dont think I would use it personally but more likely recommend it to fed-up windows users.
It seems to be tailored to the people that can't function very well in windows. I didn't care for it and reformatted my test drive 10 min after I put it there.
