partitioning error under SUSE 9.0
hello,
I'm trying for 2 days now to install SUSE 9.0 but, i can not get passed a partitioning problem. The error is: "The partitioning on your disk /dev/hda is not readable by the partitioning tool "parted" that yast uses to change the partition table."I don't know why is not reabable because on startup it sees it corectly(hda1 hda2 <hda5 hda6 hda7>), also fdisk (and cfdisk) sees the partitioning table corectly .i have 1 primary fat32 partition and an extended one in which i have 3 logical fat32 partitions and 4GB of unused space reported corectly by DOS fdisk and Linux fdisk and cfdisk).i have a WDC WDD800JB-00CRA1 with 8mb cache HDD on an nForce2 ASUS A7N8x board. The strange thing is that under RedHat 9.0 and Slackware 9.1 i dont get this error. By the way it doesn't work with acpi=off also.I've installed PQ magic but it's not reporting any error! fdisk /mbr under DOS, fixmbr under XP,fdisk /dev/hda with -w (under Linux)don't resolve the problem!
What is there to be done ?
Please,please help me !
Thank you in advance!
