Mandrake 9 web server HELP!

I loaded some of the mandrake 9 sever packs like the database one and the www hosting one. I wanna just pratice my php scripts on my mandrake box before i put them online live. Anyway where is it or how do you know if it works. Becuase i am new to the mandrake world and i am not sure where anything is located sever wise on this disto.

in mandy u have to configure:
/etc/httpd/conf/commonhttpd.conf and maybe httpd.conf
the default webroot is /var/www/html/

the best way to test your webserver is to open a browser and point it to http://localhost/

if its not running and you are sure you installed the correct packages then go to the MDK control panel and turn on the httpd service.
