Unhappy Mandrake 9.1 & xawtv

Hi everybody!!!

I have a little problem with my recently installed Mandrake 9.1. First of all, I must say that I'm a Mandrake user since version 7.0. Everything goes very well and the distribution is, IMHO, the best one that I've ever tested, but when I start xawtv to watch TV, after a couple of minutes, the program freezes and I have to reboot my computer.

I have also had this problem with Mandrake 9.0 and the only distribution with them I have ever had a problem was Mandrake 8.1.

Technical data from my computer:
AMD K6-III/400
NVIDIA TNT2 32 Mb.
Miro PCTV (bought in 2000)

Here are also my configuration files:

/etc/modules.conf

probeall scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
probeall usb-interface usb-uhci
alias eth0 natsemi
alias sound-slot-0 es1371
alias char-major-81 bttv
options bttv card=1 radio=0 gbuffers=4
options tuner debug=0 type=3

# lt_drivers: autoloading and insertion parameter usage
alias char-major-62 lt_serial
alias /dev/tts/LT0 lt_serial
alias /dev/modem lt_serial
# The next two lines are syntax examples, only Rarely Needed, to automate parameter usage during lt_drivers insertion. See documentation for details.
# options lt_modem vendor_id=0x115d device_id=0x0420
# options lt_modem Forced=3,0x130,0x2f8,0
# section for lt_drivers ends
alias /dev/nvidia* nvidia

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm using an ATI tv wonder ve. I'm wondering if it is a problem in the way I have the bttv drivers set because zapper crashes my system too.

My will even crash if I move the window across the screen which makes me wonder if I'm running out of video memory.
