After a recent craving for some retro Sim City 3000 action, I tried to install the game on my Ubuntu 8 Box. This, however, did not work as the game requires a distribution running Kernel 2.2.x. So, I'd like to download an old distro running 2.2.x and run it in VMware (on my mac), but It's impossible to find these nearly 10-year-old ISOs lying around the internet...
So my question is: Does anyone know where I can find a distribution running Kernel 2.2.x and glibc-2.1 ????
I downloaded an old version of mepis 3.42 that is exactly what you need but i cannot remember just which site it was. If you google linux torrent you will probably find it. The site was a linux torrent site only.
Thanks... Just what I was looking for. I downloaded RedHat 6.2 and it installs fine... Only problem now is getting the X server to work with my version of VMware Fusion...
If you take a look to my HomePage you will find one Page for old KNOPPIX and one for old PUPPY downloads. So you have the choice which one to choose.
There is also another Page with primaly LiveCD-Distros and if you go down you will find different languages in there there are also Distros mentioned (with download) that aren't developed any more for years mentioned with the year of the last version.
As there is Gnoppix, Fox Desktop, Lammpix, Hakin9, and others
