logon as root (gui) in mandrake 9.1

Hi.
I switched to mandrake 9.1 from rh8. all good.
I can't logon as root in gui because in mdk gui login there is a list of users to select from (but no root). I can be root in a console tho.

How can I add root to the list at the login window?

Using KDE btw

Well I am back and a bit shame-faced.
There is a check-box in the KDE config prog that allows which users are hidden or not. I was looking in mdk config.
I will now turn around so anyone who wants can kick my #$%
