I tried using knoppix because i thought it didn't need an hdd to operate, but i got an error when trying to boot:

ISOLINUX 2.04 (Debian, 2003-06-06) isolinux: Loading spec packet failed, trying to wing it...
isolinux: Extremely broken BIO detected, last ditch attempt with drive = 9F
isolinux: Disk error 01, AX = 422F, drive 9F

Boot failed: press a key to retry

I hope that's just about isolinux not detecting an hdd? If it is, does anyone know of an usable distrobution that doesn't need and hdd to operate?

knoppix works fine for me without the hdd also

Yes, I just got it working also, by specifying an hdd in bios even if i don't have one, wierd. :P Well, thank's anyway.
