Linux Mint 3.0 KDE - Tasty Menu

Is there any way to stop the tasty menu popup on the desktop upon system desktop startup?

This is the popup by default that states the newly installed applications either at upon when the desktop loads up or when new applications are being added by either command, Synaptic, or Adept.

It's just irritating for me hence why I'd like to have this stop if possible.

Thanks so much!
