Installing Linux on a USB Flash Drive

I was wondering how hard it would be to install Linux on a USB flash drive, how to do it, and which distribution I should use. My drive is a 128 MB Micro Advantage USB 2.0 drive and I'd like to have at least a little room left over for storing files. I looked for information online but mostly got information on how to use flash drives with Linux. I did however find a distribution called Puppy-Linux that has an option to install on a flash drive on their live CD. Seems pretty convenient. Does anyone have any experience with this distro? Can anyone recommend a good alternative?

The one suggestion I have is to look into having it log to a ram-disk... Flash-disks have a limited number of writes, and log files would eat it up quicker than you would want.

I'll keep that in mind. I know that Puppy-Linux sets Linux up in a RAM disk so that should work just fine. I just wonder if there are better alternatives.
