Fedora core 1, USB problems

Hi,
I'm having big problems getting my Nomad Jukebox 3 working with Fedora core 1. If you try and download a track it bombs out transfering 1mb, with error njb3_get_file_block: I/O failure on USB data pipe.
I have searched the web and heard some one mention that there are known problems with Fedora core 1 and USB drivers. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
thanks

nevermind. Eventually figured out that Nomad only will work on one particular USB port. God knows why
