Choosing Fedora 7 or Debian 5 on Compaq Armada 110

Greeting All Advanced on Linux, i am handshaking with an Ubuntu laptop of my friend. After that, desire to having Linux make me search for suitable distro. After searching, i am confuse to choose between Fedora 7 or Debian 5. This is my computer spec :

- Compaq Armada 110
- Processor : Pentium III Intel Celeron 850 MHz
- RAM : 256 Mb
- Hard Disk : 10 Gb
- Optical Drive : DVD-ROM

FYI : I am a teacher and always using my computer to show everything i teach to all my High School students

Between those two, go for Debian 5 because Fedora 7 is "obsolete", they're up to 14 now.

For a system with only 256MB RAM, you will do better with Puppy Linux or another very small distro

I have Debian 6 (Squeeze) with LXDE running on a similar system, it is OK.
