Choosing a distribution to easily provide XRDP service

Can others advise me please, is there a Linux distrubution that offers a fairly painless installation of XRDP server? I've spent the weekend evaluating replacements for my CentOS system, but the weekend sadly passed and I didn't achieve what I wanted.

CentOS's alternatives, Rocky and Alma, are incompatible with my existing hardware. Manjaro has proved to be very difficult as a platform on which to install XRDP and many others on that forum seem to have met with problems likewise. It would have been ideal, as I'm familiar with it.

I need to run XRDP because our office has RDP thin-client hardware. I need VirtualBox also. Other than that, I have straightforward requirements — Samba, ftp, ssh login.

Thanks.

A long story, but some years ago I was responsible for supporting an Ubuntu system and I just got a bit tired of it and was glad to move to others and try something new. When Ubuntu introduced the Unity desktop, that was the aspect that killed it, for me. I really didn't like that, but sure there are other desktops ;-)
