Can I install Linux onto a Compaq 'luggable'?

It's a 286 with a co-processor, a 5.25" floppy drive, a 10 megabyte hard disk, and a cathode ray green screen of 9" diagonal size and isa bus.

The link below tells what they, 'luggables', were but doesn't show what they look like. I'll post some pix of it in a bit.

Thinking about how much RAM that thing must have, I'm guessing no.

You maybe could get something very, very small to run.

I have no idea how you would even get files onto it.

I also have no idea what you would use it for. A nice novelty, I guess.

In theory, yes (asuming it has a standard BIOS) but you'd have to compile your own set of programs for it from the beginning (try LFS if you want to do that). You would need one of those old floppy drives in your compiling machine though.
