/boot/vmlinuz.autoconf.h: No such file or directory

Getting this while trying to install modem driver from tgz file [root@localhost Intel-v92ham-453-M91]# make ham
Module precompile check
Current running kernel is: 2.4.21-0.13mdk
/lib/modules... autoconf.h exists
diff: /boot/vmlinuz.autoconf.h: No such file or directory
autoconf.h matches running kernel
diff: /boot/vmlinuz.version.h: No such file or directory As far as /boot/vmlinuz.autoconf.h is this a directory for some reason I don't have.Trying to install this driver and all seems to go well except this and when I boot the system up I get failure when starting ham boot. during the boot up. Can someone explain this to me and what I have to do to fix the problem Running mandrake 9.1 Thank You

Not sure how to fix it with Mandrake, but it sounds like you do not have the kernel installed (that is the location it is looking for). I know how to install the kernel with SuSE, but other than that I have only used RH 9.

If it is not obvious from the manual or help files how to install the kernel, I am sure there are lots of people who can help with Mandrake...right??
