Best Linux Distro threads are a good!

Why don't we close the "Best Linux Distro" threads? I think people would get the picture a lot quicker. I mean, nothing new ever comes out of them.
The Best Linux Distro threads are a good learning tool for new users. It is a place a person con go the read about the pros and cons of different distros. By stoping this you would in a small way be hurting the progress of linux.

Debian is the best, and this is why:
1. For the Linux newbie, and windows user, put out some cash and start off with Xandros. It is bug free!
2. After some Linux knowledge, a great distro is Libranet. If you've got the cash, get the latest version, but the 2.7 is free. It is 100% debian compatible, with a great user forum. You'll never need to upgrade, just rebuild as you go.
3. Another free distro, that's small to download is knoppix (or gnoppix if you like gnome). But you'll need some configuration knowledge. Once again a debian!
