Backtrack2 on USB

I downloaded Backtrack2.iso(final) and created a bootable CD. I copied the CD files to a 2Gb USB stick that was formated FAT32. After running bootinst.bat to make the stick a bootable device, everything is up and running. The only problem is that I cannot save any files I create while using this stick. Same problem happens with my VMWare image of BT2. Any files created are lost when I log out.

Am I missing anything obvious?

I found the answer from a wireless security administrator. I booted my PC from disk into BT2, and then inserted the BT2 US into the system. Up popped a window with the following path: system:/system/sdb1. The window had the directories BT and boot listed. I created a directory in the window of 'data' and rebooted the system off the USB drive. I then search with 'find / -name data' and found the directory was still there! So now I can save data to /mnt/live/mnt/sdb1/data.

My first posts gets answered by me!
