Arch/EndeavourOS - input/output errors uSDXC - SurfaceGo

Hi there,

Im using Arch-based Endeavour OS on a Surface Go (1st Gen) and am having some difficulties getting the uSD card to properly read or even be used.

Ive tried formatting with SD reader in gparted, dd, parted, & exfat-utils with various partitioning mixes of mbr/gpt and fat/exfat/ext3-4/ntfs. I can format it, copy data to it, even open up documents and pics but after a reboot I/O errors and nothing ever opens, just spinning. I am positive the card works as I had it working perfect under Win10 before moving to EOS.

I initially thought that the card reader might be an issue. Proved that false as a uSD 1gb and 16gb read and write just fine after multiple reboots and power-offs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Which of the 2 MMCs are we talking about here?
Is it built-in or external?
Check 'dmesg|grep mmcblk' for messages regarding it.
