Apache probs in RedHat 8 -> 9 upgrade

I upgraded one of my machines from RedHat 8 to 9. After doing so, Apache (1.3.27) began to complain about mod_auth_db.so, saying:

Cannot load /usr/sbin/httpd/libexec/mod_auth_db.so into server: /usr/sbin/httpd/libexec/mod_auth_db.so: undefined symbol: dbopen

I did a "make clean" of Apache in case there were 9.0 library issues (which there do seem to be...), but the problem remained.

I also ran into problems with PHP 4.3.2, but they went away after I recompiled PHP. Has anyone else seen this? I commented out the mod_auth_db stuff from my Apache config file and so am up and running, but that's not a very elegant solution...

Thanks,
Jim Miller
