Any easy distro like Mint, Mageia or PCLinux for a home PC.

My family members are not tech savvy so I would probably put one of those distros listed above. I may also add a chromebook or a telikin PC ( tinycore under the hood ) for them.

Which distro would you use on a family PC?

I suggest Kubuntu LTS. I think its version 12 right now. and is supported for 5 years, about 3.5-ish years left since it was released sometime in 2012.
