what Linux quiz software do you use?

Hello,

I'm looking for a cross-platform, preferably gtk quiz program. I couldn't really find what i need yet. All quiz programs seem to be for kids.

I need it to make quizes for myself about things i'm prone to forget, such as electronics, work-related stuff. Something i can do in 5 min. while drinking the morning cofee. It would be nice to include a picture in the question, so i could memorize schematics and such.

I used such a thing in the past, a small windows program and it helped me to learn functions of the cash regiesters i used to fix. I need it cross platform so i could use it on windows machines also.
I'm not really interested in web-based quizzes because i couldn't make a lamp server work in the past.

Right now I'm using Pop Quiz http://sourceforge.net/projects/popquiz/ , but it is not really alive.

Thank you

Honestly, I wasn't aware such software was really in demand. I have certainly never heard of such a thing. It doesn't sound like the sort of thing that has a very active development community behind it, either.

Your best bet might be to simply run the software you were using under WINE.

So you don't want it web based because you couldn't get a lamp server working. How about a web service that is working already?

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestions.
Ltestpackage is nice, but i couldn't find the quiz editor on the site.
Quizlet.com is also good, but i don't always have an internet connection avalable.

I also found Moodle.org, it needs apache and sql, looks like it's great for theachers.

Meanwhile, i convinced myself that Pop Quiz is the best program for me that i can find, light, quick and easy.

Thank you very much for your posts,
Andrei
