Hi all,
I can't seem to get the graphics driver working on my install of Ubuntu Studio 18.04.
Code:
#lspci -k | grep -A 2 -i "VGA"
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller
Kernel driver in use: i915
Doesn't show graphics card.
Code:
#sudo ubuntu-drivers devices
== /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.4/0000:04:00.0 ==
modalias : pci:v000010DEd00000FE3sv00001043sd000012DDbc03sc02i00
vendor : NVIDIA Corporation
model : GK107M [GeForce GT 745M]
driver : nvidia-driver-390 - distro non-free recommended
driver : nvidia-340 - distro non-free
driver : xserver-xorg-video-nouveau - distro free builtin
Shows card and recommended driver. I've pointed to both nvidia 390 and 340 drivers but they install with errors and don't work. I've tried Prime-Select to force gpu use. This setup I previously had working on a clean, non studio spin, of Ubuntu and it worked great.
I have a feeling I'm missing some kernel modules, but don't know where to begin with that. That's a new area for me.
