Hi, I just upgraded to 12.04.1 and cannot find Skype on the software center. Can anyone tell me if this is by design or an oversight on my part?

was it installed on the previous version of Ubuntu?

Yes, as far as I remember it was on the 11.10 repositories. I managed to install the telephoney software externally from skype.com.

But I am reverting back to 11.04. there are too many historic hardware related crashes ocurring. Pretty sure has to do with my G-Force Nvidia graphics. This is my second time trail on the 12.04.1. I had hoped the issues would be resolved by six months on. And I don't much like the moving panel on the 11.10.

So it's back to 11.04

I am not too impressed by canonical support at all.

At this rate, I might even go back to Slackware.
