I cannot get my usb ports to work on my 64-bit version of ubuntu 8.10. The M/B that I have supports 64-bit fully (I have an ASUS P5Q SE PLUS). Whats going on? Tell me what you need and I will get it for you.
What happens when you plug in USB devices? Do any messages appear in 'dmesg' to indicate problems, or the detection of devices? What kind of devices are you using?
I am using usb drives and it doesn't detect my devices. I don't even get a message but the when I plugged it into my 32 bit install of Ubuntu it works flarlessly any ideas
