SteamOS/Linux

Okay, I have a problem and in need of online forum assistance

Currently I have the Linux 4.16.0-0.steamos2.1-amd64
I got the iSO File from here: https://store.steampowered.com/steamos/buildyourown

Burned it to my flashdrive, and after six times of installing it onto my laptop, finally the iSO started working corectly. Now there are things I want to do I can't do. I simply would like to switch back over to the latest Ubuntu build: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

When I had Linux mint, I was able to find the Terminal Command line to switch my Linux Mint I had at the time, to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. But now I can not seem to find the Terminal code once again. I've Googled every which way and every worded phrase I could think of that I did last time to find the Terminal code? If anyone can help me find this Terminal code so I can switch my iSO to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS i'd appreciate it
