Setting desktop language per user
Hi, this maybe a bit of a weird question but I was wondering if it is possible to set the desktop language on a networked system per user?
Although the primary install would be English but is it possible for users for whom English is not the main language to have the opportunity to have it in their own tongue?
I remember once I did set the desktop GUI in a different language but I assumed that that was a global setting...
You can certainly set a different language for different accounts in KDE and I would suspect in any other Desktop manager system. So userA logs in and the language is English and userB logs in (different userid) and the language is Italian. Is that what you mean? I maintain a couple of Debian boxes for some friends of mine who run an Internet shop. The customer account is in Italian but my own account is in English. No problem at all to set up. You use the control centre in KDE and go to the Country/Regioan & Language section.
cheers,
jdk

Many thanks JDK that was exactly what I was looking for!
I plan to use KUbuntu 9.04 coupled together with the Sun Ray server software and when using this setup over WAN to different global locations it is really useful to have this functionality when used in combination with the Sun Ray DTU's or even the Sun Global Secure server software!!
