RFB 003.008 using desktop sharing KDE 3.5.4

I am getting this error when trying to access KDE from any machine I use (XP, and linux) and any browser I use-

Here is what happens I put in my url (dsl assigned ip) plus the listining port 8080
eg 212.28.269.xxx:8080 and all I get is a simple text page showing RFB 003.008

I have port fowarding on an no firwalls.

I know Real VNC uses its own connection typ thing but if I am not mistake if JAVa is installed you can access this program via a browser --

Any ideas on what my problem is?
