Hi,
I just bought a pc HP P6330F from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-P6...4155497&sr=1-7
However, I could not install Centos 4.7 on it, I could not even get into the graphical mode for installation. I've tried text mode installation but after the installation, it still has problems opening up the Centos. It appears to be graphic card problem. Anyone knows which desktop to buy that is compatible with 4.7 ? I need to install an old software on 4.7 or 4.8.
Hi,
Thanks for the tip.
Is there a free download of Virtual Machine ?
I am not too familiar with this method, but shouldn't I still need to install both the 5.5 and 4.7 on the machine ? Problem is I could not install 4.7 on the machine, got stuck at the graphical mode entry.
Thanks.

Yes, you'll need to install a newer version as a host system so that you can take profit of the latest technologies. And on the host system (that new version) install virtualization software. There are several virtualization software suites available. Have a look at Google. The most commonly known: VirtualBox OpenVZ VMWare Server
or a list of the most popular: Top 10 Linux Virtualization Software
