Here is my situation:
I have a Canon Pixma MX 700 (
http://www.openprinting.org/show_pri...on-PIXMA_MX700) connected to a Windows Vista machine on my network. The printer shares with other Windows computers just fine but obviously not with my Ubuntu 9.04 machines as the printer is not supported on linux.
Here is my idea:
Is it possible to set up a web interface on the Windows machine which allows me to submit PDF files through a browser from any computer on the local network(read linux machines) that will then automatically print the PDF on the physical printer?
Is there a (free) program that allows me to do this?
Thanks for your ideas!
Tim
PS. By the way, I have tried Turbo Print (
http://www.zedonet.com/en_shop_turboprint.phtml) and the trial version works great for printing over the network share. I am not willing to spend $40 to continue using the program after the trial ends.
