This must be a FAQ, but I couldn't find it anywhere with Google (Poor me)
I use Mandriva 2008 with KDE. Every time I move mouse near right corner, I switch to next desktop. Similarly moving mouse to the left gives previous desktop. I don't need to click anywhere
Unfortunately I find this fancy feature annoying and can't find a way to disable it. In Control Center there is a way to disable mouse wheel, but not mouse moves. I played with CompizConfig - no effect either.
If you are not running Compiz-Fusion then have a look in KDE Control Centre (kcontrol)--> Regional & Accessibility--> Input Actions--> Gestures Settings, otherwise startup your CompizConfig Settings Manager--> Enable Cube Rotate--> then untick the box Edge Flip Pointer.
This is the way I fixed my problem:
Control Center-Window Behavior-Advanced
Change 'Active Desktop Borders' from 'Always enabled' to smth different
The fact that it appears in Window Behaviour is really illogical. To me it makes much more sense to have it in Multiple Desktops or at least Periferals-Mouse. This is why it took me so long to find it.
About CompizConfig. I am just curious what it is, because I don't see any difference while playing with it. After I received your mail, I went to CompizConfig and checked Rotate Cube and Edge Flip Pointer. Guess what - noting happened...
What should happen is when you keep moving your mouse to the edge of the screen, the cube should flip to a different face, or if you have the wall enabled instead of the cube then the desktop will slide to another face.
