Need help with Firefox

Hello again. I somehow changed the way Firefox displays, and I can't get it to go back to the way it was. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and Firefox 3.0.12.

Originally, when I went into Firefox, it would load between the desktop two panels top and bottom of the screen (Applications, Places, System etc. on top; and Status line on the bottom). Firefox also would display the usual minimize/maximize/exit buttons in its upper right corner. Now, when I load Firefox, it expands over the entire screen, the minimize/maximize/exit buttons have been replaced with an eight-point flower-looking thing. I can no longer access multiple windows. All I can do is 'Quit' Firefox and return to the desktop.

I'm sure that I simply made a mistake and clicked on something that I didn't mean to and that this is a simple fix, but I've been reading everything I could find for two days now and haven't been able to find out how I can get out of this mode. Does anyone understand what I'm talking about and able to help? Thanks. Gary

Just on the off-chance that it's stuck in "full screen" mode, try hitting F-11 and see if it fixes it. If not, let me know and we'll continue to examine the situation.

LOL GrapefruiTgirl;...I said it was something simple. That fixed it. Do I feel foolish. Thank you. Gary.

Cool always enjoy the simple fixes -- they make up for the really convoluted ones!

If you would like, you can mark this [solved] using the Thread Tools menu dropdown at the top of the page.

Kind regards,
Sasha
