which linux distro?
which application is the screenshot from?
what OS is your nexus running?
what online content are the screenshots from? instagram? what link exactly?

there's probably even more basic information this thread needs.

LQ most probably has some articles on "how to ask questions" and "things to do before posting" - please read them first!

Hi, it is a content from web instagram and android instagram,i use archlinux and Firefox is my default broswer , my Nexus device is running android L , v 5.1.1,
if you want to check the online content , check this https://instagram.com/p/5GRv-bISD5/?...y=youtubewtfff
those symbols that can not be displayed are something like emoji or else stuff. so i bet key information of this thread is , where can i found a font library that has include those emoji face.

HI all

please check the following link https://www.kirsle.net/blog/entry/ma...-work-in-linux

it help us to solve this problem.

with archlinux distribution ,

we can install symbola with pacman -S ttf-symbola , and if you need you pidgin to support apple and android 's standard emoji, use command yaour -S pidgin-unicode-emoji-git, the last , don't forget to restart you browser and pidgin.
