Lightbulb kwebdesktop links?

hi,

im using kwebdesktop on my 2nd xinerama monitor to show me infos from my personal php site from apache. is there any possibility to force kwebdesktop to work with links on my site? or is there any other program to show me my site fully functional (konqeror?)? and if, how do i run it under kde with no borders, windeco and not shown on taskbar or systray?

thank you very much.

You mean full screen or kiosk mode? In firefox, it's (press F11 key). Probably the same in Konqueror, Opera and whatever.

thanx for reply! but i do know that there is a fullscreen mode ... but the question was: is there any possibility to force kwebdesktop to work with links? i know how to run browser in fullscreen during the kde start sequence, but it is allways shown in taskbar ... so if there is a way howto run aplication without showing it in the taskbar, i can forget about kdewebdesktop ...

any ideas?
thank you

kwebdesktop does its magic by taking a picture of the web page and saving it as a .png file. None of the web links are clickable because there are no links!

Instead of kwebdesktop, you need a real browser. Try this:

kstart --skiptaskbar firefox http://comptune.com

or

kstart --skiptaskbar --fullscreen --alldesktops \
--keepbelow --display :0.1 \
firefox http://comptune.com

for more info:

kstart --help-all
