konsole and --geometry

Howdy,

I'm trying to place very specifically my konsoles. xterm placement works quite well but konsoles seem to have a mind of their own.

I have tried the right click on the title bar and choosing advanced and then special window settings but can not get kwin(?) to leave my konsoles alone an let me specify their geometry.

I'm using kde-4.4.2 on an Ubuntu (actually KUbuntu) system.

Any pointers/hints/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards and THANKS for your time.

George...

I just use rxvt and create one I like:

Code:
rxvt -bg black -cr green -fg white -C -fn 9x15 -sl 1000 -ls
You can change this for your own tastes.

For Konsole, you probably should go into Settings > Configure Profiles > Edit Profile, to get it to stick

I think you want to look at Windows Specific settings in "Configure Desktop". Click on "Detect Window Properties" and select the window with the cross hair cursor. This will fill in the geometry from the geometry of the window. Select "remember" or "initial" in the drop down box.
