Knotes on KDE 4, can't disable spell check

Hi,
I have a little problem with KNotes on KDE 4 (I'm sorry if this is a very specific question). Even if I disable spell checking (by right-clicking on a note and deselecting "Auto spell check"), after I reboot the spell checking returns again. I have the feeling it's as though KDE (or Knotes) didn't save the changes; I have a similar problem with the keyboard layout system tray icon: even if I close it, it reappears the next time I start KDE.
Has this happened to someone else? And does anybody know a solution?
Thank you!

try going to your /home/username?/.kde/share/config/kwriterc and set it to false.
then I went and reconfigured and it went back you got a point.
something to look into. I found disable aouto spell from kwrite it did save it. and the default settings was no automatic spell check
