KDE Plasma crash often + not remembering screen layouts

Hi, not sure if the crash is related to the issue of not remembering my layouts.

I have installed Nvidia GLG05 drivers through YaST2 package manager (openSUSE Tumbleweed fresh install, updated).

I've also needed to add kernel parameters to GRUB "nomodeset nouveau.modeset=0 rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau nouveau.blacklist=1" (not sure which one is actually helping, but with these additions, the system actually starts the GUI).

Now the GUI starts every time with the same ksplashqml error (I've reported this bug seperately on their bug tracking), but I don't really think that's related much.

My issue is twofold:
1. I've set my second screen to the correct rotation and correct primary screen on my laptop and saved the X11 config settings through nvidia-settings, but this is not remembered. Every boot I need to manually change the display again.
2. Every time I edit the display, the system is prone to fully freeze and I've also had this happen a few times seemingly randomly some time later when using the system normally. This freeze is so complete, the only thing I can do is shutdown forcefully with the button on my laptop... :S

I'm not really sure which log file is written to last.. there's no date/time, but for reference I've tailed each (max 100 lines).

I had no luck finding a report containing ksplashqml on bugzilla.opensuse.org, looking for a complete log file, laptop model or specifications, output from inxi -Gxx, why neither FOSS driver was adequate, or which Optimus instructions you followed, if any. Laptops with Intel+NVidia gfx are notoriously demanding upon support resources. See e.g. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1121246. Maybe it's not really fixed.

Thanks for your time. I've spent about a day on openSUSE to try to get it to work, and wasn't able to. Eventually I installed Linux Mint instead and there it works. I'm sorry I cannot help the community to fix this issue, but I'm not interested in trying openSUSE again at this point.

Not sure whether or not to mark this thread as SOLVED, since the bug wasn't solved, but my question is kind of solved, in that I don't need any more support. I'll mark it as solved to avoid people to further look into it.
