How to Upgrade Internet Browser ( Mozilla Firefox) ??
Hi Guys,
I am new to Linux,
I have installed Suse Linux 10.1 in my server , Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7 is the default internet browser.
Pls help me How to Upgrade the mozilla Firefox browser. Where will I get the new mozilla Firefox version for suse 10.1 . In which path it will get install, what happens for the old firefox if I upgrade, Do I want to delete the Old version and to install the new one.
Moreover,I am not aware of dependencies and libraries , Please help me how to upgrade the firefox version.
OP - if you're using SLES than 'Suse 10.1' would translate to SLES 10 SP1 which is End Of Life. Assuming you have a license you can update to SLES 10 SP4 which is still supported, maintained and includes Firefox 10 ESR (ESR - Extended Support Release). If you don't have a license for SLES, don't use SLES. It'll work, but you will not get any updates.
If it's a new install don't use SLES 10 unless there is a specific reason you need to, use SLES 11.
