I am not sure which processor I have (the housing, radiator is closed; so I cannot see the part number).
Pentium 4 (quite sure).
3.0 GHz: I see it in dmesg too.
15.4.1: is is this one?

The reason of this question is: depending of the processor type, I should probably make a BIOS update of that HP compaq DC7100 .
The current BIOS version is 1.59 (20.9.2004).(extra slim model).
The latest BIOS version is 2.15A (14.8.2008):

Version: 02.14 A (3 Aug 2005)
Enhancements
Adds EIST runtime power management support for Intel 600 Series Processors.
Adds L2 Cache size of 2 MB to support Intel 600 Series Processors.
Adds microcode update for Intel E0, D0, and N0 stepping processors (F34, F41, and F43).

perhaps I can increase the L2 cache with it?
