Question How to Add new software in F10

hi all,

I had installed F10 on my system recently.I am trying to build an application in C++ in the area of image processing. Since, i need GUI to be used for my application i need to use the X11 support for the image processing libraries which i am using.

But, when i checked the X11 directory is empty on my system.I don't remember whether i had installed XServer or not. But, i use KDE and Gnome on my system. So, i think i installed XServer.

Can some one please tell me how to go about it...

thank you

If you're using KDE or GNOME, then you have XServer. It sounds like you need development libraries though. Use PackageKit to install the GNOME Software Development package or KDE Software Development package, whichever you prefer (As you're using C++, I'd recommend KDE for it's Qt library).

Installing software on Fedora is pretty easy. Just click the System menu and go into Administration and run Add/Remove Software (this is PackageKit). The GNOME libraries should be under the Programming section.
