FlightGear not starting???

Starting from menue the game reads Navagation data but then stops Starting from console I get these errors. What do I need to do to get this working?

[evodawg@localhost ~]$ fgfs
X Error of failed request: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error)
Major opcode of failed request: 145 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 29 ()
Serial number of failed request: 868
Current serial number in output stream: 868

Running Mandriva release 2008.0 free-i586 using KDE on i586

This thread appears to have solved the problem: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-12686.html

My halfpennyworth: Could it simply be you have not got 3D acceleration? Perhaps try modifying xorg.conf:
Code:
Section "Module"
Load "glx"

Section "Device"
Driver "nvidia"

Section "Screen"
DefaultDepth 24
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "true"
Option "RenderAccel" "true" <<<<<<<<make sure this in
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"
Option "TrippleBuffer" "true"

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable" <<<<<<<<make sure this in
