Hi, I run Firefox 81.0(64-bit) with Ubuntu 18.04.5 on my new home-built computer with MSI B450 Tomahawk Max MB so have the newest updates on most software.
My question is:
How do I get rid of this CAPTCHA thing attached . Recently it shows up every time I open Firefox and is very annoying. I’ve tried several ‘blocklist’ apps from Firefox but they don’t work. I have a Dell Latitude E6510 Laptop with Ubuntu 18.04.5 with Firefox 81.0(64-bit) and it DOES NOT do this. I've looked in the settings and can't find the website.
It has nothing to do with Google spying. Your Firefox is trying to open that URL for some reason. Close the window/tab/ and it should be gone. Firefox can be set to reload previous tabs, everything that was open when it was closed, but that setting can be changed. You should be able to get rid of that captcha by simply closing the tab, without changing any other settings.

Thanks in advance for your help in getting rid of this thing.
You definitely shouldn't be getting this.
Is that the URL that opens when you open the browser?
Frankly, it looks like your FF has been pwned.
Try starting with a new profile, does that help?
Or maybe just change the home page.
Now I have a message that says I have a system problem do I want to send it. I do send it but is there any way to find out what the problem is. It used to tell you.
An Internet bot, web robot, robot or simply bot, is a software application that runs automated tasks (scripts) over the Internet. Typically, bots perform tasks that are simple and repetitive, much faster than a person could. The most extensive use of bots is for web crawling, in which an automated script fetches, analyzes and files information from web servers. More than half of all web traffic is generated by bots
The message for the system problem simply says that there is a system error and do you want to report it. It seems to me these boxes used to have a button that, if pressed, would show what the problem was in summary. At least a hint.
I have been poking around the internet and my computer log files and it may have something to do with run/systemd/resolve and run/resolvconf/resolv.conf which contains info about nameserver and possible conflicts there.
I don't know anything about this. It doesn't do me a bit of good to send this message to whoever since it doesn't solve anything for me. I would really not want to re-install Ubuntu 18.04 again and go through the tedium of installing my software again.

This sounds like classical social engineering tactics to get you to click some malware link - although it could aslo be legitimate.
Screenshot please.
Did you do what I proposed in my previous post?
