Email & Calendar sync between two computers?

Hi,

I use two computers at home/work both running opensuse. I am looking to sync both my email folders (inbox, sent, and other folders) as well as my calendar between the two computers. I hope somebody can make suggestions regarding an effective and somewhat simple method to synchronize the mail and calendar between my work/home computer.

Although I use KDE, I am not using Kontact, I am currently using Evolution as it is somewhat more stable (less crashes and weird outcomes of incoming mail not showing up) and easier to back up and restore, plus I don't like Kmail's maildir. I have also used and for a very long time Thunderbird for email, I am just no happy about having to use two different programs for mail/calendar.

Moreover, I welcome all your suggestions regarding using other mail/calendar programs.

i.s.
