Desktop inside a window

Hi there,

I am running Linux Mint Debian with Cinnamon, I got a strange problem.
After I messing with the themes and settings I found there is a gray bar on top of the screen with controls, when I double click on the bar I see a minimized window with title 'Desktop', if I click on the '-' sign the window disappeared, together with the icons on the desktop except the wallpaper, beside that everything still works, this happen every time I reboot, what's going on, how do I reset the desktop to default ?

I don't run Cinnamon, but it might be similar to Xfce in that way. Is there an arrow to the left of the minimize button? If there is click it.

You can Try to create any new user on the system. The desktop will be default for this new user but you have to give up with the current user.

There is nothing other than an "x" beside "-" on the top bar, create new user doesn't help either the bar still there.

I would have restored it if I can recall what I've done to it, that's why I want to reset the settings to default.

This can be a bug in Mint.

Check the following threads last post if it works -
https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=117974

What is the Mint version you have installed?
