Compiz - How do I include the compiz-extra plugins?

I've been trying out compiz on Ubuntu Feisty and it's great and stuff but I just can't get the extras to work. They never showed up in the compiz manager. How can I do that?

Install them via Synaptic and restart the GUI.

I already did. I still see the same old limited setting options in the compiz manager and I canīt seem to access them elsewhere either, not under "preferences" and "administration". Shouldn't these extras show up in the compiz-manager as plugins or something?
