Question Compiz enabled can't stretch windows across two monitors

Hi,

Ubuntu 10.04. GeForce 9800 GT EE. Been working with weak sauce and finally upgraded. I've enabled Compiz and now app windows won't stretch across the monitors. I can move windows between screens just fine but they won't stretch.

I've been monkeying with the myriad of Compiz settings to no avail.

Ideas?

Thanks very much for any pointers.

This is a bug that was introduced relatively late in the compiz 0.8.* series. You can still resize across both monitors if you use the keybinding modifier for resizing. By default, I think it's alt+mouse3.

Adam,

UPDATE: What does work for this is the key stroke ALT+F8 which is defined in the Window Resize (duh) section. Fortunately I tend to reszie only things like jEdit, Eclipse and Netbeans for the full screen dev.

Hope this gets fixed for an easy resize.

Thanks for the response. But while alt+mouse3 does bring up the drop down to select resizing, I still cannot stretch across two monitors. Does anyone know if there's some setting I need to turn on/off.

Thanks,

Jerry
