Compiz Desktop Effects Could not Enabled


Toady when I am trying to Enable my desktop visual effects in UBUNTU 9.04 by enabling extra effects under visual appearance window a message displays that desktop effects could not be enabled.

I am using ATI RADEON 2400 HD PRO PCI EXPRESS Card.

How Can I will be able to use compiz.
pls help me.
