You are right. I had made a stupid mistake. I just tried again with the router connected, and Mint could be loaded properly with "dhcp".

I did not realize that the router, acting as a DHCP server, must be connected at Linux startups if "iface enp2s0 inet dhcp" is used. Linux cannot be loaded without a connected DHCP server.
