11.10 Ubuntu desktop seized during configuration of compiz
I installed 11.10 and decided to add a little fun to it. When I went to animate my maximize and minimize of my windows with compiz it just locked up. When I restarted my computer the pop-out side bar isn't there and won't slide out. There is a toolbar at the top that reads like the selections for a browser ie: "bookmarks" being one of the selections. Right-clicking on the desktop yields very few options ie: "adding a folder". I tried removing and reinstalling ubuntu desktop. I had to CRTL-ATL-DEL to log out. Upon each reinstall on Ubuntu-Desktop I found it to be in the same condition. I tried removing compiz and it removed ubuntu-desktop. I reinstalled ubuntu desktop again and tried to see if the other desktops were effected. Kubuntu desktop seems OK and the Ubuntu 2D desktop seem to be working just fine.
