Unhappy Deepin link music directory ..

I am migrating from Ubuntu to Deepin (mainly 'cause on my old i5 box it is faster; also has nice UI). I thought, as I did when migrating from Ubuntu whatever to the newest, that a 'Music' link to where I really have my music (different directory) would work, but the Deepin 'Music App' seems not to recognize my 'ln -s /xxx/yyy/zzz Music' as "Music". What to do? I have a *lot* of music on another partition than the "home" partition. Thanks in advance.

Is this partition mounted? If not, mount it.

Well I did mount the partition and ln -s /xxx/music Music, so that the
File Manager does open Music correctly, but the Music app still opens
/usr/share/music.

That should be changeable in the music app. What app are you using?

It was the standard 'music' app for Deepin which I've unfortunately deleted (thinking that re-installing might pick up my link). I guess I may re-install first. Will follow up.

I mean re-install deepin itself. Can't find the app 'music'.

hey bro, so in my slackware install I have my music folder on /dev/sda7 mounted on /Storage with permissions set so my username has full access to the files.
I use Audacious which worked out of the box for me.

as user, in my desktop with terminal open

Code:
cd Desktop
ln -s /Storage Music
Then when I edited /ect/fstab as root, and added

Code:
/dev/sda7 /Storage ext4 defaults 1 1
If your music is on same partition then dont do all that
But try audacious/open folder, lead it to your symlink
