Would CentOS help to prepare RHCE?

Hi all,
I'm planning to take RHCE. But I cant afford the price of either the RHEL s/w or of the coaching centres.

One of my friends suggested that CentOS is a good alternative to RHEL. Is that true? I know its affordable.

I already have Debian and FreeBSD along with WinXP on my system. Will the multibooting be easy?

Would installing Fedora-7 help in praparing for RHCE?

Any other suggestions?

I would strongly advice the training. Cause the RHCT part which is the troubleshooting, I couldnt find in any of the books.
You could very well use F7 or CentOS. I practiced on FC5 back then and didnt have any problems.

All that I can say is that every hands on experience with a rpm based distribution helps. But I would use distros that are very close to RHEL5 so that I know exactly how the system behaves.

So I would download CentOS 5 or an evaluation version of RHEL [1].

Beware that between versions some things may change. For example in RHEL 5 SELinux is much more important than before...
